John Holmes Trail Run Directions

Host Hotel (packet pickup on Friday evening):

Days Inn at 6320 Windmere Rd outside Brooksville. The hotel is 0.2 mi east of the intersection of I-75 and highway 98 (exit 301) on the North side of the highway across from MacDonalds.  The hotel does not provide a complementary breakfast but there is a Denny's across the parking lot.  The hotel phone number is (352)-796-9486.

From the Days Inn to race start:

-Turn left (east) onto highway 98/50.

-Go 1.0mi and at the stoplight, turn left onto Croom-Rital road.  If you go under a green pedestrian bridge you went to far.

-The road goes immediately right, (maybe 100yds) then left.

4.6mi: you will go under I-75

6.4mi: fork in road, you go left staying on the pavement

7.0mi: road turns to gravel

10.3mi  Race start area.  Park in the lot on your left.  If it is full, park on the north side (your right) side of the road.

Directions from Tampa to race start:

Traveling north on I-75, take exit 301 which is Highway 98 and as you turn east, reset your trip odometer.

0.2mi: first stoplight.  There will be a MacDonalds on your right.

1.0mi: Second stoplight, you should turn left onto Croom-Rital Road.  If you go under the green pedestrian bridge you went to far.

4.6mi: you will go under I-75

6.4mi: fork in road, you go left staying on the pavement

7.0mi: road turns to gravel

10.3mi  Race start area.  Park in the lot on your left.  If it is full, park on the north side (your right) side of the road. 


From Orlando to race start:

-Get on Highway 50 heading west and go about 30 miles.

-When you merge with Highway 98 get alert:

-After 1.0 mile you will see a sign on your right warning you of the turn for the trail.

-At 1.8mi you will go under a green pedestrian bridge.

-At 1.9mi, at the stop light, turn right onto Croom-Rital road.

-The road goes immediately right, (maybe 100yds) then left.

Directions from Miami to race start:

Take Florida turnpike north.

Take the SR-50 W exit-272 towards Clearmont.

Turn LEFT onto W COLONIAL DR / FL-50 W. Continue to follow FL-50 W.
